Who we are
Worldwide Car Donations is the vehicle donation program of Worldwide Donations, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Hallandale Beach, Florida. You can reach us at (888) 362-8844. This policy explains what information we accept when you contact us about donating a vehicle, and what we do with it.
What we accept
When you call or contact us about a donation we accept only what is needed to arrange the pickup and complete the transfer. That is your name, phone number, the location of the vehicle, and details about the vehicle itself including year, make, model, condition, title status and the vehicle identification number.
Why we need it
To schedule the collection, to complete the title transfer with the state, and to prepare your tax receipt. IRS Form 1098-C requires your name and taxpayer identification number for any deduction over $500, so that information is collected at the point it is needed and not before.
Who we share it with
Only where it is necessary to complete the donation or where the law requires it. That may include the tow operator collecting the vehicle, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles or the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the licensed dealer, auction or recycler receiving the vehicle, and the IRS in connection with Form 1098-C. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with marketers.

How long we keep records
Vehicle purchase and transfer records are retained as required by state law and by IRS record keeping rules for charitable contributions. Contact details not attached to a completed donation are not kept indefinitely.

Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
